SlovakiaEurope Slovakia a central European republic, formerly
part of Czechoslovakia. Sarolta, my daughter and I visited Slovakia in 1978, when my brother driven us to Kosice. Those oppressive communist days I didn't have a Hungarian Passport and I had to have a visa to enter the country of my birth. When we left Hungary, we were told that I'll need some passport photos to apply for a new visa to re-enter Hungary again. Being a weekend and 1978, we did have some trouble finding a photographer who can make us some urgent passport photos. We did some sightseeing while photos were made. Bye the way, after the fall of communism I did get my Hungarian Citizenship back and a nice new Passport to go with it. Hui Chin and I visited Slovakia in 2000 for the first time, when we went by train from Vienna to Bratislava. Later that year we drove to Kosice from Hungary. In 2001 we returned to Kosice by train from Miskolc. In 2003 we decided to do the job properly and check out the country thoroughly. So, we hired a car in Györ and spent over two weeks driving around from city to city. My photo pages will show you a selection of photos of the sights that caught our attention and photographed it while visiting Slovakia.
