facts and history in brief
Presov (Eperjes in Hungarian) is
in the Saris district,
with the population of about 95,000 and Slovakia's
third largest city.
The city has been settled since the Neolithic Age, according to archaeological
finds.
The town became a free royal borough in 1370.
Presov was one of the main centre of
Reformation, for which it was heavily punished later.
Later the city became a progressive trade, crafts,
culture and education centre.
Hui Chin and I enjoyed
our stay in Presov very much.
There sure is plenty to see and do.
