Poprad (Poprád in Hungarian) is
in the central Spis district,

The city is a busy road, rail and air centre for
holiday makers in the Tatra Mountains.
The town's history can be traced back to 1256.
Originally a farming community which rapidly expended into city proportions
after the construction of the Kosice-Bohumin railway line in 1871.
At present the local railway cars
manufacturing factory and tourists keep the city busy.

Spent two days there and enjoyed every minute of it.
