On these pages I will deal with two of my hobbies and passions.
I like to travel and I like to take pictures and visiting all
those places, I see many visiting people doing just the same
things, travelling, visiting and taking photographs or movies.
I already have a travel page, listing most of the places my family
and I have visited, but on these following pages I will
try to list them in a more chronological order.
I have many photographs and I have visited many, many other
places that I can't at this stage anyway, categorise.
Come, enjoy our journeys.
During 1997, Hui Chin, Endre, our son and I went to tour
Tokyo,
Nagoya,
Kyoto,
Osaka,
Kobe,
Hiroshima,
Fukuoka,
Yokohama
and back to Tokyo in
Japan,
travelling on the prestigious
Shinkansen
or 'Bullet Train'
before we flew cross the ditch to
Shanghai
in
China.
After Shanghai we went to
Beijing,
(Forbidden City,
Summer Palace),
Great Wall of China,
Peking Man's Caves/Zhoukoudian
and the
Ming Dynasty Tombs
and many other places in and around Beijing using 'taxis' to most places.
After finishing in Beijing, we flew to
Hong Kong
from where we took 'day trips' to
Lantau Island
and
Macau
where we went sightseeing by bus as all the other places and paid
a very quick visit to a couple of the Macau's famous casinos.
On our way home, we dropped in to visit
Singapore -
to visit Hui Chin's family and explore her hometown again.
After Singapore we went to
Bali,
to explore the
Bali countryside,
Bali Temples
and the Bali capital
Denpasar
after seeing all these exciting places we returned home to Auckland.
