Japan
Japan facts & history
in brief
Tokyo
is the capital of Japan with the
population of about 10 million people
as well the home of the Japanese emperor
and the national government.
In 1457, a warrior chief
built a castle here.
Tokyo was made the Japanese
capital in 1868.
Twice it was almost destroyed, by an
enormous earthquake in 1923 and by air
raids during World War II.
Tokyo has Japan's leading industries
manufacturing cassette recorders,
compact disc players, computers,
fax machines, radios, television
sets, video recorders, and other
electronics equipment, most of
these are exported to all parts of the world.
A very interesting, enjoyable
place, we loved it.
