Hui Chin and I went over the causeway to Malaysia
recently while we were in Singapore.
It was quite an experience.
I thought we board a bus in Singapore, drive across
the causeway after we went through some Customs and
Immigration formalities, which could be nominal, like
in most countries across europe these days, or more
formal, like the borderguards come on board to check
our Passports, or something like that.
Well, the bus stopped, we had to alight, go upstairs,
go through Customs and Immigration, go downstairs, wait
for our bus, drive over the causeway, disembark from
the bus, etc., etc., wait for the bus at the other end
of the building and being driven to Downtown Kota Raya
or other cities in Johor Bahru.
There're a lot of building and expansion going
on, something like, let's catch up with the fast growing
Singapore in a hurry.
Enjoyed our stay, the locals were very friendly
to us and made us feel welcome.
