Canada is the second largest country of the world,
occupying most of the northern part of North America
apart for Alaska and bounded by the Pacific on the west,
the Arctic on the north, and the Atlantic Ocean on the
east. Canada is a federation of the ten provinces of Alberta,
British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland,
Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, Quebec,
Saskatchewan, the Yukon Territory, and the Northwest
Territories.
Canada's southern boundary with the U.S.A. along latitude
49 North, crosses the Rocky Mountains and continues
eastward on to the Great Lakes and the Saint Lawrence,
and then crosses the northern Appalachian Mountains
to join the sea along the Saint Croix River.
Northern Canada is a land of lakes, wide and winding
rivers, low tundra vegetation, and dark coniferous forests.

I visited Canada a couple of times
during April in 1996.
 First I flew to Vancouver.

A few days later I went by bus to Seattle
and other U.S. cities, to return
later to visit Toronto.

 After thoroughly exploring Toronto
I went by train to the Canadian
Niagara Falls.

During 2002, my wife and I visited Canada during
our trip through the Americas.
On this trip we've visited the Niagara Falls,
Montreal, Ottawa, Quebec City, Toronto and
Vancouver.
