South Island
New Zealand facts & history in brief
New Zealand Map
Lake Tekapo
is a small settlement at
the southern end of Lake Tekapo.
There is cute little stone church
near the shores of the lake, with
a window with a cross
over looking the lake.
Much like the one at Franz Josef
Glacier and inmortalised
by a stamp, a while back.
There are a couple of Hydro
Electric Power Station
nearby there as well.
The station, the settlement,
the lake and a river all share
the name Tekapo.
