is a major city in Southland
of New Zealand, near the southern tip
of the south island and it is one of
the largest southernmost city in the
world on the banks of the Waihopai River.
Invercargill servicing the very
productive surrounding plains and the
nearby Timbermilling and coalmining,
with a population of about 60.000.
