Adelaide, South Australia
Australia facts &
history in brief
Glenelg is a seaside suburb of Adelaide, capital
of South Australia.
Has many fine old buildings.
Adelaide's only tram runs between Glenelg and Adelaide.
Also worth mentioning St. Leonards Hotel, on Anzac Highway,
the Old Gum Tree, on MacFarlane Street, the trunk forming
an arch, site of the official proclamation of South
Australia on December 28, 1836.
I enjoyed the tram ride.
Many streets, sights and beaches of Adelaide reminded
me of Auckland.
Oh, yeh! Spell it backward! glenelG-Glenelg.
