Hungary, facts and history in brief Budapest, facts and history in brief VásárosnaményHungaryVásárosnamény is a small town in Northeast Hungary, on the banks of the Tisza River, near the Ukrainian border. My family was made to live at Beregdaroc for some time after WWII by the communists. Where ever we wanted to go from Beregdaroc we had to go through Vásárosnamény. There is a nice bridge over the Tisza there now. Those old days there was only a strong cable attached to the banks of the river and the ferry had to be pulled over by everybody pulling on the cable on the ferry.
