Szécsény is a cute little town with a few noteworthy sites for the visitor.

The main attraction probably is the Castle, where my family was made to live for a while by the communists.
It was in a shocking state while we had to live there.
It had been restored since and it is a museum now.

Another attraction is the Parish Church with it's magnificent paintings and frescos.

There are some others attractions too.

If you intend to go to Hollókõ, the UNESCO World Heritage village, you will have to drive through Szécsény.
