Hungary, facts and history in brief Budapest, facts and history in brief GárdonyHungaryGárdony is a town in Fejér county, Hungary. The largest township on the southern shore of Lake Velence. The town is a busy tourist centre and the thermal baths are open all year round. One of the first written records dates back to 1410. Most of the area of Gárdony and the surrounds formed the Queens' estate. Over the years the township was shifted to the hillside to avoid the regular flooding. In the early twenties seen the township to develop for holiday makers, bathers and nature lovers and at the same time the lake shore was developed as well.
