Dombrád

Dombrád is a small town near Nyiregyháza.

For a number of years I wanted to travel on the small gauge railway from the front entrance of the Nyiregyháza Station.

This time we managed to catch the little train.

At Ibrány the small train got dismembered into two little trains to chug along two very different directions.

We stayed on the wrong section. If we weren't near the door and if the conductor didn't come very quickly and being observant, and un-understandable to us even this day, noticing we that were on the wrong train, we would have ended up miles from where we intended to go. There was no indication of our destination on the ticket, only the distance in code. Obviously the two trains' terminals were at different distances, although according to our map it was insignificant, unnoticeable.

The conductor rushed to the door and whistled and screamed to the driver to stop.

We jumped off and rushed back to the other train that went to Dombrád.
