Budapest Accommodation

Budapest - Hungary

Budapest is the beautiful capital city of Hungary.

I was born here and although I spent more than 50 years on the other side of the world in another beautiful country, New Zealand, I still love the place and am happy to come/go back anytime.

If you have seen a few of my pages, I have no advertising, pop-ups etc. at all on any of my pages what-so-ever.

I'm breaking tradition here, because normally I don't comment on any of our holiday accommodations or any other services, though my wife and I, and sometimes my son also fortunate enough to spend some time overseas, including of course beautiful Budapest. This is not a commercial, just simple statement of facts.

In Budapest, we usually stay in self-serviced apartments.

(Now this is the making of my first commercial. Hey, times are changing!)

Sometimes, they are part of a private apartment, sometimes they are set up for tourists, where nice, clean rooms let at a reasonable price with shared conveniences, are usually well presented and set up, like; dishes, cutlery etc.

They are clean, well furnished and centrally situated.

We stayed at a few to date, but our best find was during our 2003 stay in Budapest.

We returned to the Turbóks on our subsequent visits to Budapest.

Very convenient, very central and very ambient place andddddd very affordable.

Give this one a try: Very centrally situated, close to everything, the Landlord and Landlady are very friendly, obliging and helpful, also their rates are very affordable too.

By the way I have, but can't find any pictures of the place. I have large hard drives and many DVD's of pictures etc., but it's a jungle in there, a semi organised jungle. I thinkkkkkkk.

Here's a couple useful maps of Budapest.

Sorry, a brief commercial, no pop-up though! Ah! It may come latter. Watch this place!!?

On this Budapest page I must not forget to mention my eyewitness story of the 1956 Hungarian Revolution - Freedom fight.
And according Boris Yeltsin, and he should know I suppose; "The Fall of Communism began on the streets of Budapest". Smart guy.

The 1956 Hungarian Revolution (My story)

And I would like to pay tribute to all the heroic people, who died for our noble cause.
