Turkey
Turkey facts and history
in brief.
The Bosporus also called the Halic in Turkish
and the Golden Horn.
Hui Chin, Endre and I boarded the ferry early in the
morning and made our way along the Bosporus stopping
on either banks at short distances along the way.
Our last stop was at Anadolu Feneri, near the Black
Sea.
We could see the Black Sea from the ferry and from the
jetty we stopped at.
We spent a couple of hours at the nice little Anadolu
Feneri, which looked like part of Istanbul and a holiday
or picnic resort.
After a good lunch and a good look around we were on
our way back, again criss-crossing the Bosporus and
stopping a lot of little jettys for people getting on
and off our ferry.
There were many sales people on board selling ice creams,
drinks, souvenirs and many other things.
We thoroughly enjoyed our day on the ferry and the variety
of people on board.
