In 1978, my daughter, Sarolta and I visited Haparanda, on our way from Helsinki to Narvik in Norway.

Terrific experience.

Hui Chin and I visited Sweden in 2003, when we took time out and visited a few countries in Europe including the Scandinavian countries with our Eurail Pass.

Haparanda, by the Artic Circle was another place, that we didn't have much time to really explore, just a few hours waiting for our connection to our next destination.

Hui Chin and I had a quick look around and it was time to catch our bus to Lulea.

Of course we weren't alone, George and Mariana, the couple from Romania were there too.

We all came from Oslo to Kemi, Haparanda, Lulea and onto Narvik.

Well! Been there, done that.
