Isle of CapriItaly
Capri is an island off the coast of Italy, in the Bay of Naples, an hour by ferry from the city, has been a celebrated "beauty spot' and resort since Roman times. The island attracted number of Roman Emperors, who built fabulous palaces on its hills. It features the beautiful Marina Piccola (Small Harbour), the Belvedere of Tragara, which is a high panoramic promenade lined with villas, the limestone masses that stand out of the sea (the 'Faraglioni'), Anacapri, the Blue Grotto ('Grotta Azzurra') and the ruins of the Imperial Roman villas. The City of Capri is the main centre of population on Capri. It has two adjoining harbours, Marina Piccola and Marina Grande, which is the main port of the island. The town of Anacapri is located high on the hills north from the City of Capri. Excerpted from Wikipedia, the free encyclopaedia.
Hui Chin and I taken a fast Hydrofoil from Naples to Capri to explore the beauties of the fabled island. Another place in Europe where one can rub shoulders with the rich and famous. A gorgeous sunny day made our experiences all that much better. The island caters mainly for the big spenders and prices reflecting this. Corker!!!
