Rothenburg ob der Tauber

Rothenburg ob der Tauber is a town in the Ansbach (district)
of Mittelfranken (Middle Franconia), the Franconia region
of Bavaria, Germany.
Rothenburg ob der Tauber is well known for
its well-preserved medieval old town.
In the Middle Ages, it was an Imperial Free City.
A significant fraction of Rothenburg is carfree.
Hui Chin and I had Rothenburg on our list of "must
see" places.
It was raining part of time, while we were exploring
the beautiful, well preserved township.
Dodging in and out and having some beer, local wine
and coffees, we did manage to have a good nosey around.
Rothenburg did pass our inspection with flying colours.
An umbrella would have been a great help, but it was
silently sitting in our suitcase, locked up at the station,
as usual, laughing its head off, managed to avoid getting
wet again.
