Germany, facts and history in brief

Hohenschwangau
Excerpted from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

Hohenschwangau is a village in the municipality of Schwangau, Ostallgäu district, Bavaria, Germany.

It's located between Schloss Neuschwanstein and Schloss Hohenschwangau and annually visited by about 2 million people who take a tour to the former royal palaces from there.

Car parks, gastronomy, guesthouses, hotels and souvenir shops form the view of place accordingly.

Hohenschwangau is bordered by the Alpsee in the West.

Schloss Hohenschwangau was the childhood residence of King Ludwig II of Bavaria.

Hui Chin and I took some time out to visit the famous Hohenschwangau and Neuschwanstein Schlosses while we were travelling around in Germany in 2005.

Unfortunately I do not have many of my photos left of this place, although we had four cameras between us and we taken many, many photos wherever we went, two of my cameras, with large, 512 MB SD Cards and many thousands of photos on them with my valet and money, were stolen from my bag, later into our trip, by some 'lowlife'.
