ParisFrance
Paris is the capital and largest city of France. The city is built on an arc of the River Seine, and is thus divided into two parts: the Right Bank to the north and the smaller Left Bank in the south. The city proper has about 2 million residents (1999 census: 2,147,857). The Greater Paris metropolitan area has about 11 million residents (1999 census: 11,174,743). Interesting sights in Paris: The Eiffel Tower Arc de Triomphe Cathedral of Notre Dame Basilica of the Sacré Coeur Sorbonne Place de la Concorde - at the foot of the Champs-Élysées Statue of Liberty (Smaller version of the New York City harbour statue Place de la Bastille Pantheon of Paris Bal du Moulin Rouge and many, many more.
Sarolta and I visited Paris a few times during our touring around in Europe in 1978. Well, you all know, Paris is huge, quite beautiful, took Hui Chin and I some time to check everything out, 'to get our seal of approval' in 2003. Paris is OK, but quite expensive for us antipodeans. In 2004, Hui Chin and I was forced to visit Paris again a number of times, to get our Visa to Mali, but neither of us really objected or minded it very much. We paid a flying visit to Paris in 2005 and 2006 again, staying for a couple of days each time. Paris is all right to visit, 'she' is beautiful and always plenty to see. Enjoyed it.
