Austria
Austria facts and history
in brief
Saint Michael
After leaving Hungary, with all the troubles and controversies at
the 50th Anniversary Celebrations of the 1956 Hungarian Revolution and
Freedomfight, we visited a few nice cities and towns in Austria.
Saint Michael on the Mur River near Leoben, was one of the places
we have visited and we found the place interesting and enjoyed
the town's people hospitality.
I couldn't find any information about this cute little town on the
Internet, this being one of the three Saint Michael in Austria.
We found the place very colourful and cute with their multi storied
apartments, fairly plain, but colourful at the same time as the
pictures will show the many different colours of paint.
Hui Chin and I had a very unusual "Gulyás", an
Hungarian dish cooked in 'free-style Austrian way' at one of the
local eateries.
Although it tasted alright and there was plenty of it, but it
wasn't "Gulyás", I should know, I am Hungarian
and I know good food when I have some. Still, they tried.
Another nice Alpine place.
